This coming weekend will be the last weekend to view our “Twisted life” ExhibitionFor the first time, The Print Room will also include a WIP or work-in-progress section in the exhibition so that visitors can have a better understanding of the complex processes involved in producing the final images. They will be able to view images of early concepts that were considered and then discarded, test prints showing failed attempts at perfecting a print, test strips from long hours spent in the dark room, as well as a video tracking the photographers?? efforts in the eight months they spent on the exhibition.

Saturday 8th – Sunday 9th August

Opening hours 2pm – 7pm

For the last four years, The Print Room has held classes to introduce photography enthusiasts to film photography, teaching them not only the basics of shooting but also how to process and hand-print their own images. Their collective work has resulted in 12 exhibitions, which have explored genres ranging from street photography to still life.

We believe it?s time for the studio to take on a new challenge, which is to allow our community of photographers the chance to develop their individual bodies of work. As such, after August we will no longer be holding scheduled classes or group exhibitions. Ultimately, we hope this will provide our photographers the time and space to focus on expanding their work and, eventually, hold solo exhibitions. However, it is still our mission to help people learn about film photography. Private classes will be available upon request with a minimum of four students and these sessions can be scheduled according to your convenience. (Please note that our last scheduled classes will be held on August 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30.)
