Here it is guys, we successfully launched The Print Room last Sunday evening with a warm and lovely crowd made up of friends, families, neighbours, and friends of film photography. Thank you to all those who have made it to the launch, for your support, gifts, well wishes, and your presence.
Special thanks ought to be given to Ismail Hashim, a master of hand-tinting, who came all the way down from Penang to join us for the launch.
Now that the rojak’s been eaten and cendol drunk, it’s going to be rock and roll from here on. The Print Room will create more events, exhibitions, and activites for the film photography community to instigate a renaissance of film photography as well as to heighten the awareness and appreciation for fine arts film photography.
With the events and exhibitions planned, we would like to invite the film aficionados and art lovers to join us in this. In very near future, we will also be airing films of photography masters and hosting talks from our fine arts photographer here in Malaysia. More exhibitions are in the pipeline, including abstract and hand-tinting shows.
The exhibition ‘Five Minutes: People of Malaysia’ by Paul Gadd is ongoing until the 20th of August 2011.
Our viewing hours:
1. Monday to Thursday & Public Holidays by appointment
2. Friday, 5pm – 10pm
3. Saturday to Sunday, 2pm – 6pm.
The artist himself will be off to Korea Wednesday, 20th July 2011, so do drop by soon if you haven’t already!
